"West Johnston High School is beyond proud to announce one of our seniors, Chloe Brown, has been selected as a Color Guard Cast member for the Carolina Crown 2022 Season.

As part of the World Class Category of Drum Corps International (DCI), Crown is a consistent finalist at DCI World Championships each August. Cast Members from Brass, Percussion and Color Guard spend hundreds of hours together - starting with weekend camps throughout the winter and spring before full camp begins in May including 12-14 hours rehearsals 7 days a week.

All of this work culminates with the performers going on tour all across the United States, performing in stadiums at major cities in almost every state. Simply put, DCI is the highest level of marching band in the world. Merely auditioning for a drum corps is a grueling and intense process, and our Band program hopes you will celebrate with us in Chloe's success.
